Anybody have a line on getting this software cheaper than Newegg which has it for 169.00. I have this setup on one of my test computers in our labs at work and I really like it. Let me know if anyone finds a cheaper source.

Thanks

Heya Sabith1, good to see you around. Yeah, it would be for my personal use only, I'm really interested in creating a server with a multiple computer network in my home, as I stated above I have been using the trial version and love it. I've acquired some very nice parts from past computer work and I am going to use the parts to build a server. I'm thinking about running 2 750gig drives in a raid 1 array, that would give me plenty of storage for pictures and music and redundancy. I want to make my PS3 part of the network as well, so I have lots of thoughts, anyway let me know what you can do. God Bless.

Yes, I can get it for you for mucho cheaper...  but it is currently backordered at the store. (yes, I am not MS anymore, but I have MS Alumni benefits and that does include the Company store at a much reduced yearly buying power).

So what you are looking for is this, Windows Home Server? if so, how does $35.00 sound (plus shipping, of course).

Let me know.

Man that sounds great Sabith, I will take that for sure as soon as that comes off of backorder. PM me or email and I'll get you that money as soon as you need.

Thanks

Hmph. If you were a real man, why not just get a real server?

I have SBS2003 and Server 2008 but I dont need all the extra stuff like active directory, terminal services, exchange server, just extra stuff that I really dont need. The only thing I will miss with the home server is the ability to host a website like SBS2003 does, but I have a friend who builds and hosts websites, so thats covered.
