Chew on that the next time you contimplate a PC/parts purchase.. ROFL  Invoice date btw - Oct 19th, 1991.  This was my graduation gift, going through some old papers clearing out a file cabinet that's never used, I stumbled apon it.  Funny thing is, I never even knew I had this, as it was the the mobo manual which I had never cracked open.  LoL.

haha..speaking of funny excerpts from manuals..my new phone's instructions includes a warning that putting the phone in the microwave might not be a good idea..as well as chewing on the battery. i guess that phone radiation can cause some people to do some crazy things.

I still have the drive and receipt for a Western Digital 1GB hard drive for $435. It was an upgrade from a 35MB HD and I was stoked because the biggest drive on the market at the time was 750MB and I had the best (my dad bought it for me.)

It's sad how much money we spend on computers and how quickly they lose their value.  I paid some $1,500 for my computer and it is probably worth like $900 now only 1 year later.  I have a friend who won't pay more than $100 for any computer part since they devalue so fast anyway.  Can't get a good video card for that, though

Yeah devaluation is a big issue. When I got my PC 2 years ago, it was top of the line, everything was state of the art. The NVidia 7800 GTX hadn't even come out yet but i put it in the day it did. All said my PC cost $3500. Still runs amazing. I have COD4 running full quality and it works great. But it's not even funny...the day I got that amazing video card, ATI came out with a newer one! Darn it. Haven't even booted the confounded thing up and its already out of date.
