Hardcore all the way!  There are very few things worse than pumping the other guy full of virtual led and having to reload to get the kill shot.  And having a map that tells where everyone is at.....why not have them spawn in front of you and give you a minute to stab them.  Oh oh oh....and the crosshair...

Yeah...hardcore all the way.  Leave Donkey Kong to the children :P

Did I say hardcore all the way?  :P

Has oldcore been removed from the game?   Is saw this in a list of changes in a patch, not sure if it is the 1.3 or an upcoming patch, nor what it means.   I was reading the diff game modes and oldcore sounded like the most fun to me.

oldcore, by mean classic COD? Where no one has a kit and you start off free for all and pick up kits as you find them? You can do that, yes.

If no one starts with a kit, what do you fight with when you confront ppl?  Sticks?

"Leave Donkey Kong to the children" I vote for Donkey Kong, much more entertaining for the late thirty's crowd that just want to have some fun.

If I want some realism, I'll take a trip to the local shooting range and run the target course with live amo.

Hardcore no doubt about it. I was one of the first to vote! Hardcore is awesome. It's like playing 007 on Nintendo 64 with the GoldenGun. XD

The one thing I like about hardcore in comparison to real life is that I get another chance to fight the next round rather than being in some unknown place in which I end up coming home in a body bag. So I guess what I am trying to say is that for me hardcore is Donkey Kong. So I like to play my games more realistically, but yet in the end it is still a video game..

I agree Jedi, in the end it's still a video game for entertainment, but for some of us hardcore is not fun at all. Since I am part of a very small minority that does not like hardcore, I usually find smaller non-hardcore servers to play on. For me its more enjoyable which is the only reason I play these days. Maybe someone with the power could setup the smaller server just like the larger but non-hardcore. I've played on the smaller server but dont really like free for all in this game, to much like Unreal Tournament than a tactical game. Well thats my 2 cents on this topic.

That's exactly the type of response I was looking for F1.  PM me on xfire next time you see me on if you are interested in helping to set up the second server.  The reason they are all Free-for-All right now is becuase the server is at it's most default setting (set up by myself.)  I wanted to run it for a bit for debugging purposes to make sure that the default settings I set up on it were actually ranked, so the maps are really in alphabetical order atm.

If you are also interested, I can show you how to edit the COD4 config files if you want; there really is nothing to it.  The reason I wanted to run the default settings for so long was because I included every setting possible to COD4 in the config file as kind of like a template, so you really just need to go into the file and re-order the maps (for instance.)  Or, if you prefer, we can just run the same identical rotation as the hardcore but have non-hardcore and kill cam (just two non-hardcore features for example).  I was thinking of doing it this way but haven't gotten around to it yet.  Does the server still say Gamestat.NET or have I even changed that Christian wOw yet?  hehehe

Sounds good Resurrection, I have 4 or 5 buddies outside of ~wOw~ that play the game as well. I would love to be able to bring them to the wOw server to show them how much fun and fellowship we have (two of them are not christians) but they are all like me when it comes to the hardcore servers. Let me know how I can help with the smaller server if it will take some of the burden off of you. I catch on really quick and have some programming back ground as well as previous server setup experiance. Hope to catch up with you soon.

Sounds good. Even though I do enjoy hardcore, I actually play more HQ than anything -- mainly for the points.

But I don't know anyone who would be content playing in one mode exclusively. I love playing all different kinds, depending on my mood. Anyway God bless and hopefully see you all online once again.
